Walking into the Taproom Bar and Grille is like walking back in time. A time when things were less hurried and complicated. Take one step onto the well-worn hardwood floor and you just know that many fine gastronomic delights were enjoyed in this room for more than a century. Look around in awe at the vintage tin ceiling tiles and the multitude of golf memorabilia that adorns the walls. Each photo, each keepsake, each relic tells an incredible story of golfing days gone by. And if all of that weren’t reason enough to visit, then the view of the Atlantic City skyline and delicious fare should be.
The Taproom Bar and Grille is a favorite among golfers and locals alike. Come enjoy a neighborhood tavern atmosphere and a delicious fare. Our lunch menu offers overstuffed pub sandwiches, freshly made salads, juicy gourmet burgers, pizza and more. Our dinner menu features succulent steaks, chops and roasted meats, fresh fish and seafood, delectable pasta dishes as well as several house specialties. Also featured are Atlantic City Country Club’s world famous crab cakes. Executive Chef Ed Daggers and his staff ensure that each dish is not only pleasing to the palate but interesting as well, combining unusual combinations and styles.
The Taproom Bar & Grille is the perfect place to enjoy a drink, have dinner or just relax. And, with an extensive wine menu, diners can delight in sampling featured wines nightly. The Bar also features many imported and domestic draft and bottled beers. The house draft, Belhaven Scottish Ale, has been brewed in Dunbar, Scotland since 1719.

Executive Chef Ed Daggers, CEC
Executive Chef Ed Daggers of the Atlantic City Country Club is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and the recipient of numerous awards and accolades including several gold medals and "Best in Show" from the American Culinary Federation. Chef Daggers began his career at the four star - four diamond Innisbrook Golf Resort in Florida, was the Executive Chef at Kingsmill Golf Resort and Confrerence Center in Virginia and The Memphis Country Club.
Chef has been published in The Flavors of Kingsmill and The Burgermeisters, by noted culinarian/author Marcel Desaulniers. Chef Daggers was owner of Austin Creek Grill and Austin Creek Baking Company in Hatteras, North Carolina before joining Atlantic City Country Club as Executive Chef. Chef Daggers is also an accomplished artist displaying incredible talent with hand crafting beautiful Ice Sculptures and a wide range of defining oil, acrylic & water color paintings.
Chef has also captured numerous gold medal awards in American Culinary Federation competitions for his salt dough and sugar paste masterpieces. Atlantic City Country Club is honored to have Chef Daggers as we encourage you to stop in and sample some of his fine culinary delights.
